Little Millet Classic Idlis

Little Millet (Samai) Idli Recipe 

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Little Millet Classic Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 cup of water and mix well with a spoon.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of curd or old Idli batter in it.
  4. Close it with a tight lid and leave it for 10-12 hours to ferment.
  5. Take a small ladle of fermented batter, pour it in Idli mould and steam for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Serve it hot with sambhar or chutney.

Note – Adding curd or old Idli batter to the premix helps ferment the batter fast. You can add 1/2 tsp. of eno or baking soda to the batter if you wish to make instant Idlis.

Mappillai Samba Idlis

Mappilla Samba Idli Recipe 

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Mappillai Samba Classic Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 cup of water and mix well with a spoon.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of curd or old Idli batter in it.
  4. Close it with a tight lid and leave it for 10-12 hours to ferment.
  5. Take a small ladle of fermented batter, pour it in Idli mould and steam for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Serve it hot with sambhar or chutney.

Note – Adding curd or old Idli batter to the premix helps ferment the batter fast. You can add 1/2 tsp. of eno or baking soda to the batter if you wish to make instant Idlis.

Little Millet Masala Broccoli  (Samai) Idli Recipe 

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Little Millet Masala  Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 cup of water and mix well with a spoon.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of curd or old Idli batter in it.
  4. Close it with a tight lid and leave it for 10-12 hours to ferment.
  5. Add grated Broccoli in the batter.
  6. Take a small ladle of fermented batter, pour it in Idli mould and steam for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Serve it hot with sambhar or chutney.

Note – Adding curd or old Idli batter to the premix helps ferment the batter fast. You can add 1/2 tsp. of eno or baking soda to the batter if you wish to make instant Idlis.

Little Millet Classic Carrot (Samai) Idli Recipe 

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Little Millet Classic Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 cup of water and mix well with a spoon.

  4. Close it with a tight lid and leave it for 10-12 hours to ferment.
  5. Add grated carrots in the batter.
  6. Take a small ladle of fermented batter, pour it in Idli mould and steam for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Serve it hot with sambhar or chutney.

Little Millet Podi (Samai) Idli Recipe 

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Little Millet Masala Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 cup of water and mix well with a spoon.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of curd or old Idli batter in it.
  4. Close it with a tight lid and leave it for 10-12 hours to ferment.
  5. Take a small ladle of fermented batter, pour it in Idli mould and steam for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Cut the Idlis into bite size pieces and roll each piece into a mix of oil and Idly podi.
  7. Serve it hot with sauce, dip or chutney.

  6. Add chopped onion, grated carrots and coriander leaves over it.
  7. Drizzle a tsp. of oil around the Adai, cover the tawa and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Serve it hot with sambhar or chutney.

Little Millet Herb Dosa Recipe 

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Little Millet Masala Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 1/2 cups of water and mix well with a spoon.
  3. Add 2-3 teaspoons of curd in it (optional).
  4. You can use the batter to make instant Dosa or let it ferment for 10-12 hours for healthier dosa.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons of ground Balloon vine leaves paste in the batter.
  6. Take a ladleful of batter, pour it on a hot tawa, spread it thinly.
  7. Drizzle a tsp. of oil around the Dosa, cover the tawa and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Serve it hot with sambhar or chutney.

Note – Replace any other green leaf paste such as spinach, Methi or Amaranth greens.

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Little Millet Classic Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 1/4 cups of water and mix well with a spoon.
  3. Add 2-3 teaspoons of curd in it (optional).
  4. You can use the batter to make instant  Uttappam or let it ferment for 10-12 hours for healthier Uttapam.
  5. Take a ladleful of batter, pour small rounds of it on a hot tawa, do not spread the batter.
  6. Add chopped onion, grated carrots and coriander leaves over it.
  7. Drizzle a tsp. of oil around the mini Uttapams, cover the tawa and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Serve it hot with sambhar or chutney.

  2. Add about 1 1/4 cups of water and mix well with a spoon.

  4. You can use the batter to make instant  Uttappam or let it ferment for 10-12 hours for healthier Uttapam.
  5. Take a ladleful of batter, pour small rounds of it on a hot tawa, do not spread the batter.
  6. Add chopped onion, grated carrots/Broccoli and coriander leaves over it.
  7. Drizzle a tsp. of oil around the mini Uttapams, cover the tawa and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Serve it hot with sambhar or chutney.

Little Millet Classic Instant Desi Pizza Recipe 

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Little Millet  Classic Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 1/2 cups of water and mix well with a spoon.
  3. Add 2-3 teaspoons of curd in it (optional).
  4. Add 1/4th tsp. of turmeric powder and mix well.
  5. Take a ladleful of batter, pour small round of it on a hot tawa and make small rounds of Pizza base.
  6. Drizzle a tsp. of oil around the millet Pizza, cover the tawa and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Remove the lid and add chopped onion, tomato, capsicum and grated cheese over the Pizza and cook for 1 more minute.

Little Millet Masala Chilla Recipe 

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Little Millet  Masala Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 1/2 cups of water and mix well with a spoon.
  3. Add 2-3 teaspoons of curd in it (optional).
  4. Add grated carrots, finely chopped green chilly & coriander leaves and mix well.
  5. Take a ladleful of batter, pour small rounds of it on a hot tawa and make small rounds of chilla.
  6. Drizzle a tsp. of oil around the Chilla, cover the tawa and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Serve it hot with tomato sauce or chutney.

Note – You can add 1-2 tbsp of besan (chickpea flour) in the batter for more nourishing chillas.

Little Millet Classic Mini  Khaman Dhokla Recipe 

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Little Millet Classic Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 1/4 cups of water and mix well with a spoon.
  3. Add 1/4th tsp. turmeric powder and 2-3 teaspoons of curd in it. 
  4. You can use the batter to make instant  Khaman Dhoklas let it ferment for 10-12 hours for healthier version.
  5. Add 1/2 tsp. eno in the batter if you wish to make instant dhoklas.
  6.  Pour the batter in a greased plate or cake mould and steam it for 15 minutes.
  7. Heat 2 tsp. of oil and add 1/4th tsp. mustard seeds, 2 tsp. sesame seeds and let it splutter.
  8. Pour the tadka on Khaman Dhokla. Cut into small pieces and serve chutney or sauce.

Little Millet Classic Panyaram Recipe 

  1. Take 1 cup of OGMO Little Millet Masala  Idli/Dosa Premix in a bowl.
  2. Add about 1 1/4 cups of water and mix well with a spoon.
  3. You can use the batter to make instant Panyaram (add 1/2 tsp. eno in it) or let it ferment for 10-12 hours for healthier Panyaram.
  4. Add chopped onion,  grated ginger and curry leaves in the batter.
  5. Use Panyaram mould and make Panyaram.
  6. Serve it hot with chutney.
